The Dooars or Duars are the alluvial floodplains in northeastern India that lie south of the outer foothills of the Himalayas and north of the Brahmaputra River basin. This region is about 30 km wide and stretches over about 350 km from the Teesta River in West Bengal to the Dhanshiri River in Assam.
HOW TO REACH DOOARS
Few trains can directly reach you to Dooars from Kolkata. One such popular train is Kanchankanya Express that leaves daily from Sealdah station.
For Buxa and Jayanti (part of dooars) direct connected from Kolkata via train. The nearest station is New ALIPURDUAR JN. Train name Padatik Exp.
Many others train left from Sealdah and Howrah station for North Bengal daily. Overnight train journey and reach New Jalpaiguri station. From njp station, many private vehicles are available for dooars.

Njp Rail station or Bagdogra airport to Lataguri.
After arrival at the railway station you are received and our representative to your hotel/resort at Lataguri. This place is close to the Garumara National Park. We prefer to put up our guests in hotels/resorts which give you a feeling of being either in the forest or in a tea garden. Late in the afternoon, we take you to get a feel of the Forest. Depending upon the availability of tickets/entry passes, we would take you to Jatraprasad (Evening trip accompanied by a tribal dance by personal cost, Overnight at Lataguri Hotel/resort.
2nd day
Early morning excursion to Lav and Rishop you with capricious cascades, picturesque landscape and green tea gardens that lie beyond the horizon. Lunch on the way. evening back to the hotel at Lataguri hotel. night stay at Lataguri.

Jayanti, Rajabhatkhawa, & MahakalMandir. Buxa tiger reserve, which was once known for dolomite mining, now enthralls tourists as one of the largest habitats for tigers.
