About Bhitarkanika
Bhitarkanika National Park is a 145 km2 large national park in northeast Kendrapara district in Odisha in eastern India. The area is also been designated as a second Ramsar site of the State after Chilika Lake. It is surrounded by
Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary
which is spread over 672 km2 (259 sq mi). Gahirmatha Beach and Marine Sanctuary are to the east, separating the swamp region and mangroves from the Bay of Bengal.

How to reach Bhitarkanika from Kolkata?
The driving distance from Kolkata is 375 km. Bhadrak rail station is a closed railhead from Bhitarkonika. From Bhadrak, one can choose to reach Chandbali, a river port, via bus and take a boat directly to Bhitarkanika.
ENTRY FEE NEED.
Permission is required to enter the park, which can be obtained from the entry gates of Khola or Gupti. Bhitokonika visit via boats or through walks in the dense forests. All the boats approve by the Forest Department and need booking that will ensure a comfortable travel experience.
Fauna
The park is home to the saltwater crocodile, Indian python, black ibis, wild boar, rhesus monkey, chital, darter, cobra, monitor lizard. Olive ridley turtles nest on Gahirmatha and other nearby beaches.
Flora
Mangroves are salt-tolerant, complex, and dynamic eco-systems that occur in tropical and subtropical intertidal regions. Bhitarkanika is one such location of rich, lush green vibrant ecosystem lying in the estuarine region of Brahmani – Baitarani in the North-Eastern corner of Kendrapara district of Odisha.
Best Time to Visit Bhitarkanika Tour Package

DAY 1 : Arrival at Bhitarkanika
Arrival at resort at around 12 PM. After fresh n up have your lunch. Have some tea/coffee in the evening. After dinner have a good night sleep.
DAY 2 : Bhitarkanika Jungle Safari
After Breakfast transfer to Khola forest Gate by your own car to board on boat for Mangrove Forest Safari. Enjoy serpentine creeks, watch out for birds, particularly different varieties of Kingfishers, egrets, Bramhani Kites, eagles etc. Look for Pelicans and different types of Storks.
Visit Bhitarkanika Forest Block.
Check out Old Temple, Lotus Pond, Hunting Tower of yesteryear rulers. Climb the Watch Tower . You might see Wild Boar, Jungle cat, Spotted Deer and birds also.
After that visit Dangmal Crocodile Breeding and Research center.Look for different crocodiles kept there. Visit Interpretation cum Museum also. Return back to the Khola gate. After that start for return/ onward journey. Tour ends with sweet memories.

Duration – Explore Bhitarkanika with us 2 Nights 3 Days
DAY 1 : Arrival at Bhitarkanika
Check into resort at around 12 Noon. After fresh n up complete your lunch. After Lunch spend time on the Bank of River Bramhani. Watch Beautiful Sun set . Have some tea/coffee in the evening. After dinner have a good night sleep.
DAY 2 : Bhitarkanika Jungle Safari & Kalibhanjadiha trip
After Breakfast transfer to Khola forest Gate to board on boat for Mangrove Forest Safari. Enjoy serpentine creeks, watch out for birds, particularly different varieties of Kingfishers, egrets, Bramhani Kites, eagles etc. Look for Pelicans and different types of Storks.

5:30 – 6:00 AM: Pick up from Cuttack Railway station and move towards Gupti forest check post of Bhitarkanika.
Breakfast on the way( on direct payment basis)
9:00 – 10:00 AM: Arrival at Gupti Forest check post.
10:00 AM : Start Boating from Gupti Forest jetty. Move towards Habalikhati.Enjoy the creeks & River. Get down at Habalikhati Jetty. Start walking through a beautiful jungle trail( total distance 3 kilometre)
Check into Habalikhati Nature camp.
1:00 – 2:00 PM: lunch (local cuisine) at Dining hall.
2:00 – 6:00 PM: Enjoy the sea beach. If you are lucky enough, you can experience the mass nesting (Arribada) of the Olive Ridley sea Turtle.
6:00 – 7:00 PM: Evening Hi-Tea at the Dining Hall.
8:00 – 9:00 PM: Dinner will be served at the Dining Hall.
Second Day ( Habalikhati- Bhitarkanika) :
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Hi-Tea & Dinner
Activity: Bhitarkanika Forest Block & Dangmal visit.
Wake up in the morning. Explore the Sea beach.
7:00 – 8:00 AM: Breakfast at Dining Hall.
9:00 AM : Check out from the Habalikhati Nature camp and move towards Bhitarkanika. Get down at Bhitarkanika Forest block. Enjoy jungle trail. Visit old temples, lotus pond, Hunting Tower and Watch Tower.
After that transfer to Dangmal Crocodile Project area. Visit Mangrove Nursery, Crocodile Hatchery, Nature Interpreter Centre (Museum) and newly built Sky walk.
Transfer to the Resort at Bhitarkanika.
3:00 PM: After a warm welcome, check into the resort.
3:00 – 4:00 PM: Join us at the Dining Hall for lunch (local cuisine).
4:00 – 6:00 PM: Take some rest or engage yourself in recreational activities available at resort. Watch beautiful sun set on river Brahmani.
6:00 – 7:00 PM: Evening Hi-Tea at the Dining Hall.
7:00 – 8:00 PM: Bonfire can be arranged in the evening on request (except during rainy season and windy conditions)
